A Series of Small Walls
Note: this fic contains several lines of dialogue from the show as timeline signifiers. If you're interested/shocked and appalled, I've detailed them here:

Quoted dialogue in ASOSW
(All here for a specific reason. I do not claim ownership of these lines.)

Quote 1: Well, like I said... don't beat yourself up. Oh... you know... I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire."

Wesley stares at him with consternation, "I hardly see how that's the same situation."

"Yeah." Angel says, understanding chasing puzzlement across his face. "I didn't really think that one through. You should get some rest.

Quote 2: Angel stands by the door with Spike making his reflection in front of the glass.

"Wes and Fred?"

Spike nods. "You didn't know?

"I didn't know."

Quote 3: "Everything that's happened since we took over Wolfram & Hart, everything that's happened toÑ" Wesley looks at Illyria and swallows. "--Her... Did you know? Was Fred the price? "

"No. Wes... I can explain. Just put that down."

"Why are you so afraid of this? He said it would bring back the past. Will it undo what you've done? "

"No. It won't bring her back. "

"Let's find out."

"No! Please. You have to trust me. "

Quote 4: Angel bursts through the double doors of the lab. "Illyria's blown all of her gaskets, man. She's outta her mind!"

Spike and Wesley exchange a Look, Spike rolls his eyes and says, "How can you tell? Yesterday she spent two hours mind melding with a potted fern."

This fic was written for xmirax's Wesathon for eloise_bright. Her request is below:

Pairing: If you want to I don't mind Wes/Lilah or Wes/Angel, but I'm happy for it to be gen.
Other Characters: Angel, Lilah, pre-demonized Cordy, Gunn, Spike... oh, anyone really...
Rating: up to R
Tone: Angst
Must include: Father. Issues.
Must not be included: No shippy Wes/Connor, no Wes/Fred.

Many thanks to Romanyg and Audela/Freydis for betaing.

Angel and Spike are Racecar Drivers
Inspired by this I believe that good writing and good fanfic can be mutually exclusive. Gimme a well written story about Angel and Spike as racecar drivers and I will tell you that you have a well written story, but it is lousy FANfic because Angel and Spike are not race car drivers. -Kita, in LJ.

I love Kita.

Little Hours in the Last Forever
Title from a post of Jekesta's. The idea was subconsciously implanted by Glossolalia and her evil icons. Ph33r her.

-

Scream of Consciousness
The bracketed quotes are from Marcus Aurelius' Meditations.
Additionally, these lines: Hold it together, hold it together, hold it together, with Rotosound Strings! is from a The Who album.
And fate is setting up the chessboard while death rolls out the dice. Anyone for tennis, wouldn't that be nice? is by Cream
This was my first finished fanfic. Be kind.
Thanks to Audela/Freydis for the beta and the general support, encouragement, and the enticing me into fandom.

Shape and Space
Big thanks to Ruedifference for betaing this and telling me to post it.

Subcultures I Have Known and Loved
The title is a pretty blatant rip from PIHKAL by Alex and Ann Shulgin.
Many thanks to Blueswan9 for the beta.

Written for the Summer of Spike.

Tace

Written for Slodwick's A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words: Third Time's the Charm challenge on LJ. The included picture was the prompt. The fic had to be exactly one thousand words and be based on both the picture and the number three. The title is a lame pun. It means be silent and refers to the old saying tace is latin for candle. There are 3 sections of 333 words divided up into 3 (third person limited) points of view of 111 words. Because I'm a geek. The rest is pretty self-explanatory. The ending sentence is a reference to The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway. And other stuff. Yeah.
